Prince Albert has all a prairie snowmobiler could want. A few years ago, the community established its own snowmobile club, the Prince Albert Trail Riders Inc. in order to develop the trail systems and encourage more people to take part in the sport.
While you can't snowmobile within city limits, there are numerous trails that begin just outside the city and run from central to northern Saskatchewan. Sledders relish the combination of prairie and boreal forest terrain in this region.
These are some of the best photos our readers have sent in from this sled-friendly community.
Neil McLeod sent in this gorgeous shot from a Prince Albert sledding trip. He shared it with us shortly after the Prince Albert Trail Riders Inc. were established, and he offered his take on the club. "The main motivation for getting the club operational was to give members and the public more opportunities to take advantage of the great terrain around Prince Albert for snowmobiling," he said.
