The semi-finals of SledTown ShowDown is coming down to the wire as the January 1 deadline approaches. As has been the trend with previous rounds of this year’s contest, round 5 continues to gather votes at a record-setting pace.

Here’s how Round 5 is shaping up:

The battle of B.C. and Alberta could be an upset in the making. Edson (51 per cent, 5,258 votes), Alberta, has a slight lead over Tumbler Ridge (49 per cent, 5,127), B.C. That’s over 10,000 votes cast in this tilt and we’re only halfway through the voting period.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba is tighter than expected as well. Flin Flon (56 per cent, 4,158 votes), Manitoba, is out in front of Hudson Bay (44 per cent, 3,254 votes), Saskatchewan, but not by much.

Which SledTown will rise up and ascend to the finals. It’s still anybody’s game.

Total votes (so far) from all provinces in Round 5: 17,797!

Remember you can vote every day, so rally the troops and give your snowmobile riding destination your support. Voting ends at midnight on Tuesday, January 1st for Round 5.
