The provincial finals of SledTown ShowDown is coming down to the wire as the December 9 deadline approaches. As has been the trend with previous rounds of this year’s contest, round 4 continues to gather votes at a record-setting pace.
Here’s how Round 4 is shaping up:
Talk about a nailbiter. B.C.’s battle between Sicamous and Tumbler Ridge couldn’t be any closer. Votes are split at 50/50 with almost 12,000 votes cast in this head-to-head fight.
Alberta’s duel is close to a dead heat as well. Fox Creek holds a narrow (53 per cent, 1,633 votes) advantage over Edson (47 per cent, 1,450 votes).
Hudson Bay (61 per cent, 1,133 votes) is creating some space between itself and Carrot River/Arborfield (39 per cent, 710 votes) in Saskatchewan. This is not an insurmountable obstacle for Carrot River/Arborfield, though. With daily voting and a dedicated fanbase, Carrot River/Arborfield could mount a comeback.
The biggest disparity in votes comes from Manitoba. Flin Flon (61 per cent) has over 2,000 more votes than Thompson (39 per cent). It’ll take an inspired revival from Thompson to climb within striking distance of Flin Flon.
Total votes (so far) from all provinces in Round 4: 23,057!
Remember you can vote every day, so rally the troops and give your snowmobile riding destination your support. Voting ends at midnight on Sunday, December 9th for Round 4.
