Round 5: SledTown ShowDown 2021 provincial winners duke it out

SledTown ShowDown 2021 showcases the most popular snowmobile destinations from each Western province

SledTown ShowDown 2021 has been a wild ride—and we still have two rounds left to go! With the exception of McBride, the 2021 SledTown ShowDown provincial champions are all first-timers. Congratulations to Lac du Bonnet, Nipawin, Fort McMurray and McBride on becoming their province’s champions and advancing to Round 5: the semi-finals!

Which two provincial champions will advance through Round 5 and take their places in the finals? Before you make your decision, let’s take a look at how Round 4: the provincial finals played out:

B.C.:

Congratulations to McBride, British Columbia’s 2021 SledTown ShowDown provincial champion! This is McBride’s third provincial title (2018, 2020, 2021). McBride won the entire SledTown ShowDown competition back in 2018 and has the opportunity to become the first two-time champ in SledTown ShowDown history. 
During Round 4, McBride (2,374 votes, 61%) outperformed Revelstoke (1,534 votes, 39%) to claim the provincial championship and advance to the next round.
McBride now goes head-to-head versus Lac du Bonnet during Round 5: the semi-finals.

Total votes from B.C. in Round 4: 3,908.

Alberta:

Congratulations to Fort McMurray, Alberta’s 2021 SledTown ShowDown provincial champion! This is Fort McMurray’s first provincial title.
In order to achieve this unprecedented victory, Fort McMurray (3,514 votes, 54%) had to unseat Edson (2,999 votes, 46%), the previously reigning provincial champion for the past two years in a row.
Fort McMurray now goes head-to-head versus Nipawin during Round 5: the semi-finals.

Total votes from Alberta in Round 4: 6,513.

Saskatchewan:

Congratulations to Nipawin, Saskatchewan’s 2021 SledTown ShowDown provincial champion! This is Nipawin’s first provincial title.
Nipawin (4,164 votes 59%) had a strong showing once again in Round 4 and kept Carrot River/Arborfield (2,949 votes, 41%) in the rearview from the outset.
Nipawin now goes head-to-head versus Fort McMurray during Round 5: the semi-finals.

Total votes from Saskatchewan in Round 4: 7,114.

Manitoba:

Congratulations to Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba’s 2021 SledTown ShowDown provincial champion! This is Lac du Bonnet’s first provincial title.
It was another tight contest for Lac du Bonnet (4,753 votes, 53%), but this surging SledTown wouldn’t be denied victory over Snow Lake (4,252 votes, 47%).
Lac du Bonnet now goes head-to-head versus McBride during Round 5: the semi-finals.

Total votes from Manitoba in Round 4: 9,005.

Total votes from all provinces in Round 4: 26,540!
Total votes from all provinces in Round 3: 33,697.
Total votes from all provinces in Round 2: 12,326.
Total votes from all provinces in Round 1: 9,011.
Total votes throughout the competition: 81,574!

By Round 4, we’ll have our provincial winners, which will go head-to-head until only one town remains to be crowned the 2021 SledTown ShowDown Champion of Western Canada.
