2020 SledTown ShowDown: And the winner is . . .

Flin Flon, Manitoba, is SnoRiders’ 2020 SledTown ShowDown Champion

Flin Flon, Manitoba, is the 2020 SledTown ShowDown Champion.

Congratulations to the SledTown ShowDown Champion of 2020: Flin Flon, Manitoba!

This historic conquest is the first of its kind for Flin Flon. They now sit alone on the iron throne of victory. The triumph puts Flin Flon in exclusive company as only the second winner to emerge from Manitoba since Swan Valley won the contest in its inaugural year back in 2015.

During Flin Flon’s successful campaign, they dispatched Russell, Pinawa, Snow Lake and Thompson to earn the distinction of SledTown ShowDown Provincial Champion of Manitoba (for the second year in a row). During Round 5, Flin Flon leaped over their prairie provincial rival by moving past Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. Then, for the sixth straight round, Flin Flon (62% of the votes in Round 6) tallied the most votes of any SledTown to overpower McBride (38%), B.C., a previous SledTown ShowDown winner back in 2018.

Flin Flon is certainly worthy of praise and adoration. We here at SnoRiders are proud to crown your 2020 reigning, defending, undisputed SledTown ShowDown Champion of Western Canada: Flin Flon, Manitoba!
