Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE:PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, announced the company will be a 2014 corporate partner for the University of Minnesota’s Golden Gopher football program.

“As a Minnesota-based company, we are excited to join Gopher fans across the state to support another favorite pastime of many of our local customers and dealers,” said Scott Wine, Chairman and CEO at Polaris. “We look forward to a successful season and partnership with Minnesota Gopher football.”

The year-long partnership, with University of Minnesota Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield Sports’ Gopher Sports Properties, will begin this fall and will provide various opportunities for fan and customer engagement with dealer incentives and prize giveaways including the grand prize giveaway of a new 2015 Polaris accessorized RANGER XP® 900.

The partnership will also provide increased visibility for Polaris as the presenting sponsor of the Gopher Tailgate pregame show on the statewide Gopher Radio Network, along with signage at the stadium and digital and social media content among other things.

“We are proud to share brand equity with Polaris this fall with our Gopher Football partnership activation,” said Director of Athletics Norwood Teague. “Polaris has been innovative and aggressive, and is a proud Minnesota company with a history of success. They are a rising brand, and we like to think of ourselves the same.”
