Kakwa Wildland Park

Kakwa Wildland Park is located 120 kilometres south of Grande Prairie and the Swan City Snowmobiling Association offers information on trail boundaries, fundraising events for area maintenance and maps of the area.

Permits are required for snowmobile camping and four-wheel-drive vehicles are required to access this area.

Big Mountain

Big Mountain Creek Provincial Recreation Area is located 10 kilometres off Highway 40; it offers access to forest trails south of Grande Prairie and a group campground.
