AirLoc Adjustable Running Boards from Skinz Protective Gear are new for this season, and they do more than eliminate snow buildup on the Polaris Pro-RMKs.
These boards are actually designed to get the rider higher up on the sled to allow for more leverage when carving and sidehilling. And they’re adjustable, so they can be set to the individual’s height and chosen style of riding. But technical riding and deep snow conditions are what they were really designed for.
When installed, the boards allow for an additional three to four inches (eight to 10 centimetres), of forward movement in the footwell area. They also eliminate the need for those plastic body protrusions under the side panels that cause many Pro-RMK riders grief in deep snow conditions and on steep terrain.
The boards feature integrated tunnel reinforcement, and they are constructed with Skinz’ new Pro Tube outer tube. Extruded from high-strength aluminum alloy, the outer tube is strong and lightweight. High-traction plastic cleats have been added to the cross tubes, and ice studs are provided for the outer tube.
AirLoc Adjustable Running Boards are also narrower than are Skinz’ flagship Airfame running boards by one inch (2.5 centimetres) and they come with a laminated tunnel wrap to help reduce snow and ice from building up on the sides of the tunnel.
The boards fit all 2011 to 2015 Polaris Pro-RMKs.
