January 16, 2018 – Tucker Hibbert will take his 225th and 226th career starts this weekend at the Deadwood Snocross National in Deadwood, SD. Hibbert has a rich history of putting on a show at this event, including his last-to-first place ride for his 100th Pro National victory in 2015.

Hibbert enters the fourth stop on ISOC National Snocross tour as the pro points leader and with five out of six final wins so far this season. The 10-time champion plans to rely on his experience to safely and successfully compete on the Days of ’76 Rodeo Grounds’ tight, intense racecourse.

Racing in Deadwood:

“I’ve had some of the most memorable and craziest races of my career in Deadwood. The racing is always intense and unpredictable. It’s a little nerve racking because the track is small and a lot can happen in short amount of time.”

“Since it’s so tight in the rodeo grounds, it seems like it’d be really hard to pass but over the years, I’ve probably made more passes there than on any other track. You have to be really creative, smart and react quickly. You don’t have time to think about things. You have to go off instinct and make things happen. I think that’s maybe an edge I have on my competitors and something I can use to my advantage at this venue.”

“Something unique about this race is that the spectators are so close to the track. Every year, people pack in there and you can definitely feel the energy from the crowd. I’m looking forward to racing in front of a packed house and hopefully can put on a good show.”

Taking his 225th career start:

“Hitting these milestones is exciting and pretty crazy to think about but I’ve never been someone who focuses on numbers and accomplishments. I’m going into this race with the same mentality as any other race – be prepared to win.”
