Voting is definitely heating up in Round 5, as the final four compete head-to-head. We are halfway through Round 5 of the SledTown ShowDown sponsored by Polaris — some exciting races are shaping up as the provincial champions face off. It’s Athabasca, Alberta versus Yorkton, Saskatchewan and Houston, B.C. versus Swan Valley, Manitoba.
So far a total 8,130 votes have been cast for the remaining four popular sledding destinations. Houston, B.C. has racked up the most votes at this point (mid-point Dec 14th) with 2,616 votes, followed closely by Swan Valley, Manitoba at 2,319 votes, Yorkton, Saskatchewan has 1,949 votes and Athabasca’s tally is 1,246.
The closest race is happening between last year's overall winner Swan Valley (47%) and up and comer Houston, B.C. (53%) — they are only separated by a few percentage points. Whereas, Yorkton is dominating their round with a 61% to 39% lead over Athabasca at this juncture.
Remember, you can only vote once per digital device. So you can vote once on a desktop computer, once on your tablet and once on your mobile phone. So encourage your sledding friends, club members, and buddies to cast their vote too.

With a full seven days before the December 20th at midnight deadline don't be surprised to see some more jockeying back and forth for position amongst these provincial finalists as they compete to go onto the final round. The 2016 SledTown ShowDown has seen over 38,000 votes placed so far this year!
