The Minneapolis Business Journal is reporting that Polaris has filed at least two federal lawsuits alleging that its patented technology is being used by crosstown rival and Minnesota-based Arctic Cat.
The report went on to say, “Medina-based Polaris said Plymouth-based Arctic Cat's line of side-by-side Wildcat all-terrain-vehicles violate two Polaris patents. Polaris filed a similar suit against Arctic Cat over a different side-by-side patent late last year.
Analysts have criticized Arctic Cat for staying out of the growing and lucrative side-by-side market until 2012, about five years after Polaris got into the segment.
Polaris is represented by Minneapolis law firm Carlson, Caspers, Vandenburgh, Lindquist & Schuman. Arctic Cat has not responded in court.”
