Just in case you missed it...

A team of students from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. won the 2011 Clean Snowmobile Challenge using an MX Z Sport sled with the Rotax ACE 600 engine from Ski-Doo. The contest, sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers, challenges students to reduce emissions and noise while maintaining or boosting performance of a sled.

With the MX Z and ACE 600 as its base, it’s no surprise they won top honours in the internal combustion category as well as Best Performance, Best Ride, Best Fuel Economy, Quietest Snowmobile, Most Practical, Best Value and most satisfyingly – the “Polaris Best Handling” Award.
