Banner Recreation & Marine, with operations in Kelowna and Vernon, has signed a strategic alliance with Motor Tech Enterprises of Golden, B.C. In addition to bringing together two very reputable names in the Western Canadian power sports industry, this partnership is expanding Golden’s current authorized service contract to a full sales and service dealership.
In discussion with Derek Bannister, owner of Banner Recreation & Marine, he indicated that he is very pleased to be working with Randy and Dawn Baun and their team at Motor Tech Enterprises, as their experience and knowledge with the industry is quite extensive. Bannister went on to say that the current partnership could be looked at as an extension of a working relationship that they have had for years.
"The decision to purchase the majority share percentage of Motor Tech Enterprises fits with our long-term plans and mission statement at Banner Recreation and Marine. This is a win-win for not just Banner and the Baun family but most importantly for the customer. The Golden trading area offers some of the most diverse and amazing riding areas in Western Canada. This partnership has allowed the Baun family to expand upon their current offering and to offer the same level of service the customer has become accustomed to in Golden. They are the perfect partner for us as we expand our company into other key markets." Bannister pointed out that Randy and Dawn Baun have been involved in the evolution of the power sports business for over 30 years.
Randy currently sits on the GBRAC (Golden Backcountry Recreation Access Committee) where it represents motorized vehicles annually for both commercial and recreational interests for over 10 years; Dawn is currently the secretary treasurer of Golden snowmobile club. Banner Recreation & Marine strives to be continuously recognized as one of the most respected and trusted power sports dealers in the province of B.C. Bannister’s intent is to streamline and integrate all three operations with similar product offerings, systems, services and branding which will create great consistency for the client base.
