Well, here it is. Another survivor completed and saved from the scrap pile.
This is a 1969 Sno Jet with a 300 Hirth single. I picked up the sled at a vintage sale/swap meet just outside of Selkirk, Manitoba.
Although the machine was completely faded and rusted out, the engine turned over and the guy who sold it to me assured me that it ran.
Once again, I saw the potential in an old sled that most considered junk. After many, many weekends in the garage this summer, here is the final result. I think all the hard work and elbow grease paid off. I wanted a ’60s machine in my collection and now I have one.
Oh yeah, did I mention it runs? Thanks again SnoRiders for your great online forum and information. Keep up the good work. —Barry Guindon, Winnipeg, Manitoba
