The snowmobile sector in western Canada lost a friend with the sudden and unexpected passing of Al Hodgson of Kamloops.

Al was passionate and active in the sport of snowmobiling. He was one of the founders and the past president of the Association of British Columbia Snowmobile Clubs. He was considered by all connected to the sport as one of true "movers and shakers" of the industry.

“It is with a heavy heart that we advise of the sudden passing of Al Hodgson. Al’s contributions to the sport of snowmobiling were endless and he will be greatly missed,” stated the ABC website.

A Celebration of Life for Al Hodgson is being held at:

This event will be done “Al style” with photos, video clips, tall tales, short stories, and refreshments. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Canadian Avalanche Centre.

SnoRiders staff and management send their condolences to all of Al’s friends and family. You will be missed!
