I was elated when a big box of MotorFist goodies arrived at the office addressed with my name. In it were a pair of W.O.T. Snowmobile Gloves.
I was a tad disappointed, though, to see the tag on them read large, so I took them home and entrusted my husband—who is also my sledding partner—with the task of testing them out. He was only too happy to comply. A few weeks later, while we were taking a break from a good shred session in the mountains, I asked him for an update on the gloves.
Having never worn insulated snowmobile gloves before, he was concerned that the W.O.T. glove, which stands for Wide Open Throttle, would cause his hands to sweat. MotorFist, however, managed to make these mid-length gloves breathable as well as waterproof, so his hands stayed dry from the inside out. Wearing insulated gloves, riders often have to sacrifice some dexterity, but this is not the case with the W.O.T. gloves. They’re remarkably thin and are made of flexible fabrics, so riders can easily work the throttle and hand warmers and maintain a strong grip on the handlebars. The uninsulated solid-leather palm resists bunching and the gloves feature a Kevlar-reinforced thumb for extra padding against the bars.
We have yet to see how these gloves stand the test of time, but MotorFist guarantees the quality and performance of all its products. We look forward to riding with the W.O.T. Snowmobile Gloves for the duration of this snowmobiling season and the next.
