Cool & Lube Up-Front Ski Scratchers

ice scratchers for snowmobile skis

It’s getting to that time of year when fresh snow is scarce and the trails turn to hard-pack. Especially in the spring, ice scratchers become less of an accessory and more of a necessity.

Enter Cool & Lube Up-Front Ski Scratchers from Kingstream Inc./Sno-Wheels in Ontario. As the name implies, these scratchers bolt on to the front skis of the snowmobile instead of the rear suspension to spray snow directly onto the hyfax and up into the heat exchanger. According to Kingstream, the Cool & Lube Up-Front Ski Scratchers provide up to 50 per cent more ice and snow spray than traditional rear-mounted torsion spring and cable scratchers.

And they are auto reversible. Users can also adjust the pressure of the tip, depending on riding conditions, and remove them when they’re not needed.
