Arctic Cat advertising agency of record has a new leader at its helm. Minneapolis-based advertising agency Periscope has named Elizabeth Ross, a veteran ad-industry executive, as its new CEO.
Ad Age magazine reported on the recent hiring of Elizabeth Ross, who will replace Periscope's Greg Kurowski.
The Minneapolis Business Journal also reported last month that Greg Kurowski, who led Periscope for 15 years and built it into the largest independent ad agency in the Twin Cities, was seeking a successor.
During Greg Kurowski’s tenure, the agency's staff grew from around 100 to over 520 employees, with projected 2015 revenue of $70 million. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that Greg Kurowski will stay on part-time as vice chairman and board member.
In the past Elizabeth Ross has held business-development and creative roles at agencies including Tribal DDB and JWT Chicago. Most recently she was chief marketing officer at Mediabrands, owned by Interpublic Group. She'll evidently split her time between Minneapolis and her home in Chicago, says Ad Age.
Periscope's website touts the creative work they do for Arctic Cat under a section called, "Share our passion." Here is what they say....
"One doesn’t help steer an outdoor enthusiast brand by leisurely enjoying the trail. That’s why for more than 30 years we’ve kept the throttle pinned to our thinking for Arctic Cat snowmobiles and ATVs. With ideas inspired by the machines, but driven by the experience. What started as three snowmobiles has grown into more than 100 models across sleds, ATVs and Side by Sides. A success story fueled by forging new digital trails, rallying die-hard communities, and stoking the passion of those with gas and oil in their veins."
