Alberta Snowmobile Association announces 2020 Snowmobile Excellence Awards

The ASA honoured 10 award winners with Snowmobile Excellence Awards in 2020

The Alberta Snowmobile Association (ASA) has handed out the hardware for the 2020 Snowmobile Excellence Awards, recognizing exceptional contribution to the recreational activity of snowmobiling. The ASA Snowmobile Excellence Awards honours individuals, snowmobile clubs, associations and businesses affiliated with ASA in Alberta that, during the past year, have made a significant contribution towards showcasing the popularity and the overall appeal of the sport, have made a remarkable effort to promote solidarity and responsibility within the snowmobile community or who have offered exceptional quality of service to snowmobilers.

Here are the 2020 ASA Award winners:

Outstanding Groomer Operator: Dave Newbury (Whitecourt)

Outstanding Promotion and Development of Snowmobiling: Iron Horse Trail

Outstanding Organized Snowmobile-related Company: Zac’s Tracs

Club of the Zone:

  • Northeast—Athabasca River Runners
  • Northwest—Whitecourt Trailblazers
  • Southern—David Thompson Snowriders
  • Mighty Peace—Peace Valley Snow Riders
  • Iron Horse—Cold Lake Snowmobile Club
  • Central—Myrnam River Ridge Riders

Club of the Year: Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club
