Stuck in the snow in Sicamous.
"We found field upon field of untouched snow, up to four feet deep of fresh, fluffy powder," said Jeff Taylor of the day he took these pictures up the Owlhead in Sicamous. "Mike Hyland with his Summit and Dale with his Polaris are stuck. Next to them Dave Schenig on his Yamaha Apex is helping Mike Kelly get his Summit unstuck." Jeff Taylor photo

Sicamous is a sledder's dream destination and one of the places Snoriders West readers would most like to visit. It's got it all: stunning Shuswap scenery, cozy warm-up cabins, steep mountains and wide-open meadows. With a perfect location halfway between Vancouver and Calgary, the town has learned to provide hospitality to sledders from all over the west. With lakes, rivers and mountains surrounding the town, there is almost endless challenge for riders of every stripe. The terrain has spawned some world-champion talent and the snowmobile club is one of the best in the country.

All that awesomeness has prompted readers to send us some super-snowy pictures of Sicamous. Enjoy—then look through the archives and send your best photos to our Hotshots contest

Where's the rider?
"We found field upon field of untouched snow, up to four feet deep of fresh, fluffy powder," said Jeff Taylor. "The buried rider is Mike Kelly. Although you can’t even see his buried sled, it's a 2008 Skidoo Summit mod." Jeff Taylor photo
