Sledding in Whiteshell Provincial Park means two things: trails that seem to go on forever, and awesome surroundings that make you want to keep exploring. All the staging areas are easy to find and well-marked.

To start off your adventure, you can try the Beauchemin Lake Loop, a ride that offers comparatively narrow trails and takes you through all different types of wilderness terrain. You will find yourself riding over frozen lakes and swamps and enjoying every minute of it.

The Whiteshell Snowmobile Club is also maintaining a brand new trail.

"Zubek is a very new trail that travels mainly on an old logging trail," said Randy Williams, club president. "It has our most extensive warm-up shelter. Many riders are worried about going inside, as they think it is someone's cottage!"

If you ask local sledders about their favourite trail, you might hear stories about the route from Seven Sisters to Falcon Lake. This is an especially easy sledding zone and is well-used.

If you ride 15 kilometres from Seven Sisters, you can find the Otter Falls trail. This leads back to the centre of the park, making it a perfect choice for the last part of your journey.
