The main draw
With significantly less traffic than other snowmobiling areas, the main draw for riding in New Denver is that it is off the beaten track. In the absence of a trail map and with minimal trail grooming activity, riders can find the freedom to make tracks that are truly all their own across several unique riding areas. New Denver is also strategically situated to access almost any riding area from Nelson to Trout Lake within a reasonable drive, offering an opportunity to explore the expansive, renowned snow region of the Selkirk mountain range in one extended trip.
Sledders’ hangouts
- The Valhalla Inn offers package rates to sledders, including meals and accommodations. The Inn is located on Hwy 6, one block south of the junction of Hwy 31A.
- Odin’s Pub is the only pub in New Denver and a favourite place to order a burger and beer for locals and out-of-towners alike Located along Hwy 6 in same complex as the Valhalla Inn, the pub’s relaxed atmosphere is a great way to wind down after a full day of riding.
Extended stay
- Hot Springs. After a day of riding, enjoy the calm, relaxing water of the three commercial pools or several undeveloped hot springs that are located within an approximately 100-km radius of New Denver.
