Name: Mitchell Kiland

Lives: Edson, Alberta

Hometown: Edson

Snowmobile club: The Edson Sno-Seekers

Age: 38

Sledding since: Age 4

First sled: A 1983 Enticer

Current sled: a 2011 Expedition 1200 four-stroke Ski-Doo

What did you like about your sled? The versatility of it. It's a machine that I need for what I do. Riding trails and pulling loads and stuff.

Where do you usually ride? All around Edson here on our trail systems.

What’s your favourite riding area? Up towards Silver Summit. (I like) the amount of snow and just all the cutlines that a guy can have access to up there if you take a chainsaw. It's a little bit higher than up in Edson here. And another thing for me is that I'm about two and a half kilometres from the trail to get up towards Silver Summit. It's groomed right to my yard because I run the groomer, which is pretty cool.

Where do you want to ride in the future? I would like to go to Yellowstone sometime.

Describe your riding style: Family-orientated.

What is it that keeps you coming back, year after year? Just getting out in the bush and exploring.
