Describe your riding? I’m a work in progress. Because I was away from it for a long time and with today’s technology and new machines, it’s a learning curve and it has taken a while to get back into it.

Deep powder days or hero snow, what do you prefer? Powder riding and second best is the spring riding. It’s like spring skiing. We’re riding here till June and that’s what sets up apart from the other areas.

What was your most memorable ride of the 2012-2013 season? Our poker run because of the fact that we met so many new people and we were able to kind of show off our club. It was just an all around great day. The weather was fantastic, the setting was phenomenal and the people that showed up and the friendship that was shared . . . I think that was my most memorable ride simply because of that.

What’s your motivation to ride? Two things: the camaraderie that we have with our friends. That is very important to me and the fact that the winters are so long and the snow conditions here in the Elk Valley, as far as I’m concerned, are second to none. I just don’t know anywhere else in Canada or North America for that fact, where you are going to get better snow conditions than we have here in the Elk Valley.
