by Kirsten Armleder

Name: Corey Borne

Current city: Mackenzie, B.C.

Hometown: Surrey, B.C.

Age: 37

Occupation: Millwright

Sledding since: 2009

First sled: 2006 Ski-Doo Rev 151”

Future ride: 2012 RMK-Pro 163”

Why are you going with the RMK-Pro? I like that the sled is light, it has a long track and everyone who owns an RMK is happy with their machine. I liked my Rev but I was thrashed even halfway through the day. Everyone (else) was just kicking back. One thing I noticed with those guys is they aren’t nearly as bagged at the end of the day. (The RMK-Pro) is quite a light machine.

What is your favourite kind of riding? Technical riding in the trees.

What is your favourite snowmobiling area in Mackenzie? (My) favourite place is the Pine Pass because there is lots of unique terrain and features.

Where is that area? The Pine Pass is about 60 kilometres north of Mackenzie.

What other hobbies do you have? Camping, golfing, fishing and playing guitar.

Why do you go sledding? It’s a great way to blow off steam.
