With trails maintained vigilantly by the Pembina Drift Busters snowmobile club, Westlock is well-equipped to sate your craving for a fun sledding trip. This community is situated 85 kilometres north of Edmonton, and has more than 150 kilometres of groomed trails.

The Main Loop is popular, with easy access from a staging area right off Highway 801 north of town. Explore 40 kilometres of groomed trails, hills, prairie terrain and treed areas.

The West Loop can be accessed across from the Highway 801 staging area, and offers a 30-kilometre loop around Bear Lake.

Take the North Loop if you want a longer ride, with more than 80 kilometres of hill-covered territory that meanders around Cross Lake Provincial Park to the club's second cabin. On this trail, snowmobilers can also hook up with the Trans-Canadian Snowmobile Trail.
