Snowmobiling in Duck Mountain Provincial Park means groomed trails, cozy warm-up cabins and sled-friendly features galore. The park mostly sits in Saskatchewan, but also reaches into the province of Manitoba.
Many sledders like to venture west to the town of Kamsack, a location surrounded by a plethora of interconnected snowmobile trails that are groomed by the Kamsack Snow Drifters club.
The club maintains three warm-up shelters, one of the most popular being affectionately termed the Palace. The trails along the way to this shelter are loaded with fresh powder during sledding season, and offer terrain for all different styles of riding.
If you head southwest from Kamsack, you can take the Trans-Canadian Snowmobile Trail straight to Yorkton. Families will find this route appealing for all experience levels, and the Snow Drifters manage the Hideaway warm-up cabin 15 kilometres from the staging area.
