Whitecourt, Alberta, has long been known for its impeccable trail system—thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Whitecourt Trailblazers snowmobile club. This year, the club broke its own records.

During the 2012/2013 sledding season, the Trailblazers sold 546 season passes and 621 day passes. It was also the longest season. In total, the club spent 544 hours grooming trails, which would add up to 5,690 kilometres.

The club also hosted yet another successful VIP & Media Ride. Despite -25ºC weather, 76 snowmobiles were counted on the trails.

For 2014, longtime club members Alex Manweiler, Elaine Gunderson and Ken Linford will be retiring from the executive team. Dan Guenette and Aaron Munro have now assumed the roles of president and vice-president for the Whitecourt Trailblazers.

These days, the club has been busy spring cleaning and its members look forward to the summer ahead.
