Main snowmobiling trails in Chetwynd, B.C.

This riding area near Chetwynd offers tons of powder to mountain sledders. From hill climbing routes to delightful family riding zones, the Calazon has a bit of everything to suit all snowmobiling preferences and skill levels.

Hasler trail network

The Hasler snowmobile trail network is located 15 minutes to the south of Chetwynd and can be accessed via the Hasler Forest Service Road. Once on the service road, you can turn off at Kilometre 9 and drive 45 kilometres until you find a large parking lot/staging area. From there, you can mount your sled and explore 56 kilometres of wilderness areas, alpine bowls and steep climbs.

Silver Sands trail network

Take a 50-minute drive south of Chetwynd to find the staging area for Silver Sands trail network (turn left at the Mount Solitude Lodge, which offers a parking lot specifically for snowmobilers.) You can ride on deactivated logging roads and glorious alpine trails, and there is a warming shelter located about seven kilometres from the parking lot on Highway 97.

Mount Bickford

Mount Bickford can be accessed 40 minutes south of Chetwynd on Highway 97 (make a right turn on the Fisher Creek Forest Service Road.) This snowmobiling area is perfect for families and beginning riders, with a mixture of terrain styles, ample snow and unbeatable scenery.
