Midpoint snapshot: quest for provincial champs underway in round 4 of SledTown ShowDown

The closest race is happening in Manitoba between last year's overall winner Swan Valley (51%) and up and comer The Pas (49%).

Halfway through Round 4 of the SledTown ShowDown sponsored by Polaris, some interesting races are shaping up. So far a total 6,700 votes have been cast for the remaining eight popular sledding destinations. BC has racked up the most votes at this point (mid-point Nov 29th) with 2,225 votes, followed closely by Saskatchewan at 2103 votes, Alberta at 1,209 and Manitoba at 1,163.

The closest race is happening in Manitoba between last year's overall winner Swan Valley (51%) and up and comer The Pas (49%), Manitoba—they are only separated by 2 percentage points. Whereas Athabasca in Alberta and Houston in BC are frontrunners in their respective provinces. These two snowmobiling destinations are outpacing heavy weights Crowsnest Pass and Valemount so far. In Saskatchewan, Yorkton is dominating their province's voting with a 67% to 33% lead over Nipawin at this juncture.

Remember, you can only vote once per digital device. So you can vote once on a desktop computer, once on your tablet and once on your mobile phone. So encourage your sledding friends, club members, and buddies to cast their vote too.

With a full seven days before the December 6th at midnight deadline don't be surprised to see some jockeying back and forth for position amongst these provincial finalists. The 2016 SledTown ShowDown has seen over 30,000 votes placed so far this year!
