Welcome to our new website

We've made it easier for you to connect with the snowmobile world in Western Canada

by Kirsten Armleder

The new website is more mobile-friendly and it allows users to enjoy SnoRiders on all their devices.

Dun dah dun dah . . . drum roll, please. It’s finally here! After months of hard work, we are excited to reveal our brand-new website.

At first glance, you’ll notice we redesigned the look and feel of SnoRiders, but that’s not all. We’ve also made the website easier to navigate.

The search bar in the top right-hand corner is the quickest way to find what you’re looking for. Type in Valemount, for example, and everything you need to know about this B.C. snowmobiling destination will show up.

You’ll also notice our content is grouped into four sections: Stories, Travel, Gear and Share.

Stories

Click on Stories and this is where you can read all our blogs, columns, club reports and industry news. It's also where you'll find XRider profiles, Meet the Rider interviews and other sled-centric lifestyle stories.

Travel

The Travel section is loaded with information about destinations across Western Canada and the U.S. It’s where you can go to find new places to ride and learn how to get there. Download our trail maps and bring them with you to the trailhead.

Gear

Gear is where we feature product profiles, reviews and new product launches from Klim, MotorFist and all the other gear companies we've come to love.

Share

Share is new, and this is where you’ll find all the best photos and videos sent in by our readers. Our handy upload page also makes it easier for you to share photos and videos of your snowmobiling adventures from your smartphone, tablet or home computer. Photos can be shared instantly with SnoRiders, so if you're out riding and you have cell service, be sure to send us a photo. We always have cool stuff to give away, so who knows, your photo may even win you a prize.

You can comment on just about any story on our website, and use Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels to share it with your friends. Our new website also gives advertisers a better way to tell their stories.

Why did we do it? Well, a lot of you have been coming to SnoRiders on your smartphones and like the snowmobiles of yesteryear, our old website was a bit bulky and cumbersome for mobile users. So we decided to make it easier to read and navigate on any device.

At SnoRiders, we’ve come a long way since launching our first website in 2001, and it’s because of you, the reader, that we are able to stay engaged and up to date with the snowmobile community in Western Canada.
