TSS Action Lines, Volume 3 film review

by Kirsten Armleder

The Mickus from Top Secret Shop in Salmon Arm, B.C., are some of the most respected sledders in the industry, and these boys know just how to get us amped up for the coming season. Their latest film, Action Lines, Volume 3, is packed with deep snow footage that had us drooling in the first 30 seconds.

Shot mainly in Sicamous and Revelstoke, the film starts off with the Micku brothers (Brandon, Justin and Kyle) doing what they do best: smashing pow and chasing uphill lines through the trees on their custom turbos. Then, we get to see Brett Turcotte, Cody Borchers and Derek Wood pushing it to the next level with their jumps, drops and whips. Felix Patry pulls some sick lines as well, and a newcomer, Jamie Iwaschuk, briefly shows us what he’s got.

In Volume 3, the Mickus also take us to YamaFest 2014 in Revelstoke where it’s all about big iron, big chutes and big, well, you know what. Then, it’s off to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with Brandon and Kyle for the World Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb.

The film wraps up with more great footage of the Mickus and of crazy Saskatchewanians Chad and Nathan Greziuk. Overall, Action Lines, Volume 3 is a solid sledding movie that showcases the most technical aspects of the sport without straying too far from what the average rider can aspire to. Our only complaint is that we wanted more!
