Modular 3 Helmet from Ski-Doo

by Kirsten Armleder

The latest version of Ski-Doo’s popular Modular snowmobile helmet is the Modular 3. Released in October 2014, the Modular 3 comes with all the great features riders have come to love about it—such as the adjustable sun shield and flip-up jaw piece—as well as some great upgrades.

Most noticeable is the new rear shell that has an edgier design. Ski-Doo also says that this new feature gives the helmet more consistent sizing. The visor on the helmet has been improved as well, to offer more clarity and durability.

Like its predecessor, the Modular 3 comes with Ski-Doo’s breath-evacuation mask—a system that directs the wearer’s breath away from the visor to prevent it from fogging up.

There are six different versions of the new Modular 3 helmet. The one pictured above is the Men’s Modular X-Team Gravity Helmet. Ski-Doo makes a heated visor for all of its new Modular 3 helmets, but it costs extra. The visor does come standard though in the Modular 3 Electric SE Helmet.
