In early August, Klim released its new lineup of 2014 snowmobile clothing. Front and centre of the new lineup is the Stealth Jacket and Bib outfit for men.
Designed for the technical riders, the new Stealth Jacket and Bib feature the industry’s first use of a Stretch Gore-Tex three-layer material. This material allows the Stealth Jacket and Bib to conform to the rider’s body and provide unlimited mobility and superior comfort. The Stealth Jacket and Bib are also the industry’s first snowmobile-specific garments to use D30® armour. D30 is a soft and flexible impact protection material that has been applied to the motorcycle and footwear industries as well as in the military and law enforcement.
According to Sid Huntsman, who is the snow sponsorship co-ordinator at Klim, the company has also integrated venting that it learned from the motorcycle industry into the Stealth Jacket and Bib.
The Stealth Jacket and Bib are durable, lightweight, waterproof and breathable. Other features include water-resistant YKK zippers with glove-friendly zipper pulls, moisture-wicking flannel backer lining, vents with snow dust barrier mesh backing and plenty of storage pockets.
