Fox Float 3 Evol Rear Shock Conversion Kit for tMotion

by Kirsten Armleder

Ski-Doo owners looking to improve the comfort and rideability of their sleds can check out the new Fox Float 3 Evol Rear Shock Conversion Kit for tMotion.

Developed by NEXTECH Industries in Sherwood Park, Alberta, this kit replaces the factory rear shock on the tMotion suspension with a Fox Float 3 Evol to help riders shed 4.5 pounds of ice-holding springs and gain the full adjustment of sag height and bottoming resistance.

According to NEXTECH, this kit increases travel whereas other kits reduce travel, due to an improper shock or ratio. Improved ride is the result of a new shock ratio and time spent testing and adjusting the multi-stage valving so that it is compliant on stutter bumps, but ramps up to soak up the bigger hits, too.

Nextech also says that with the shock installed all the spring force is on the rear arm and not split on the rail, which provides more control of weight transfer.

The Fox Float 3 Evol Rear Shock Conversion Kit for tMotion will be available for 146-inch to 174-inch tMotion sleds. The rear track shock and front forward shock are sold separately. Contact Nextech for more information.
