Decked truck bed storage system

by Kirsten Armleder

Whether we’re going hunting, fishing, ATVing or snowmobiling, it seems like we’re always in need of extra space to store our gear. The owners of Decked LLC, a company based in Ketchum, Idaho, surely felt the same way when they came out with the Decked truck bed storage system.

Released in December 2013, Decked is an in-bed drawer system that provides weatherproof storage space for your gear and accessories while still allowing the bed to be used for hauling your machines.

It’s made of steel and 100 per cent recycled high-density polyethylene. Once installed, Decked can support up to 2,000 pounds and each of the drawers can hold up to 200 pounds. No drilling is required to install the system as it is designed to mount to the truck bed’s existing tie-downs.

According to the guys who make it, Decked is easy to install and can be removed in about 20 minutes. The system is made to fit most short box and standard size pickup trucks on the road. It is not yet available for long box trucks, though, but we’re sure the guys at Decked are working on it.

Decked is made in the U.S. and is available online at Decked’s website or through its dealer network. In Canada, Decked will be distributed through 4 Wheel Parts
