Carbon Fiber 509 Evolution helmet

What is hailed as the most anticipated helmet in the history of the snowmobile industry has just been launched by 509 Inc.—and in time for the 2012-2013 riding season. Weighing in at only 1,240 grams, or 2.73 pounds, the new Carbon Fiber 509 Evolution helmet is designed to be lightweight for the wearer—yet it is durable enough to withstand the harshest of winter conditions, according to the company.

Crafted from full carbon-fibre materials, the shell of the helmet is protected by a durable, glossy clear-coat finish. The liner inside the helmet is secured by snaps so it can be removed and washed. Other features of the helmet include a built-in rubber wind-stopping face guard, 10 ventilation ports and tool-less adjustable visor screws. Like all 509 helmets, the new Carbon Fiber 509 Evolution helmet comes with a removable cold-weather breath box.
