The 2013 FX Nytro X-TX 1.75 from Yamaha bridges the gap between trail riding and power play.
It features a 144-inch Camoplast Back Country™ track with 1.75-inch lugs to provide better flotation in the deep snow. The lugs on the track are flat and designed to resist curling; however, Yamaha says the lugs allow a measure of sideways slip to improve the sled’s handling performance on the trail.
Seasoned trail riders know how frustrating it can be when their machine darts back and forth while they are following in the tracks of another sled. For this reason, the 2013 FX Nytro X-TX 1.75 is equipped with Yamaha’s dual-keel tuner skis. In addition to eliminating the darting effect, Yamaha says the skis provide increased stability over bumps and they are lighter and wider to offer better flotation in the deep powder. Also, the lightweight tunnel on the 2013 FX Nytro X-TX 1.75 is designed at a steeper pitch on the running boards to offer more ground clearance and less drag in the snow. It also has larger cutouts to allow more snow to escape.
At the heart and soul of the 2013 FX Nytro X-TX 1.75 is a fuel-injected, 1,050-cc, three-cylinder engine. Controlled by an electronic throttle system, the engine will deliver a powerful response with no throttle lag. The sled also has Yamaha’s engine braking reduction System to make throttle transitions smooth.
