How fast is that electric HOG snowmobile? That might be the big question if Harley-Davidson and Telsa partnered up and returned to the snowmobile business.
Financial analysts are wondering if there might be a Harley-Davidson/Tesla deal in the works. In fact, after weeks of languishing, Harley-Davidson stock jumped after speculation circulates around Twitter that a partnership with Tesla is in the works.
“There's nothing concrete from either company, but the chatter has been enough to push HOG past the $50 mark for the first time in ten days,” says the report posted on Seeking Alpha.
It is worth noting that, so far, an electric Model M motorcycle from Tesla hasn't made it past the speculative concept stage—in other words, it’s still on the drawing board, probably sitting in the private offices of Elon Musk.
No speculation on the return of Harley Davidson to the snowmobile business—now there would be concept! However, wouldn't an all-electric Telsa powered Harley-Davidson snowmobile would put a “charge” into the snowmobile industry?
