The Whitecourt Trailblazers has confirmed that seven-time Winter X Games gold medallist Levi LaVallee will be performing at the club’s World Snowmobile Invasion (WSI) Freestyle Event in February 2015.
LaVallee is one of the most well-known names in the snowmobile industry—and for good reason. In addition to his Winter X Games wins, he currently holds two world records for long-distance jumps; five International Series of Champions (ISOC) Fan Favourite Awards; and an ISOC pro stock points championship title from the 2008-2009 snocross season. LaVallee was also the first rider to ever attempt a double backflip on a snowmobile in competition.
LaVallee’s performance in Whitecourt, Alberta, should be no less than spectacular, given his amazing 18-year career.
“He’s a larger name in the world of freestyle right now, and we are excited to have Levi join the World Snowmobile Invasion,” said Dan Guenette, who is the president of the Whitecourt Trailblazers and the coordinator of the Freestyle Event.
LaVallee, along with eight other freestyle riders, will be performing on Friday, February 13 and on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the Westward Community Centre in Whitecourt. Names of the other riders have not yet been released. Keep watching this blog and the WSI website for updates.
