The Whitecourt Trailblazers have been planning a World Snowmobile Showcase—which is essentially a music concert night—to take place on Day 4 of the club’s upcoming World Snowmobile Invasion (WSI) event in Whitecourt, Alberta, in February 2015.
Headlining the concert will be none other than Alan Doyle, the former lead singer of Canadian folk-rock band Great Big Sea. Over the years, Doyle has toured around the world, enjoying a successful career as a singer and musician with the band.
After stepping out on his own, Doyle released his first solo album, “Boy On Bridge,” in 2012, which featured classic rock and roll hits such as “I’ve Seen A Little.” According to his website, this solo album allowed Doyle to delve into his love of country music and more classic rock and roll sounds.
It’s fitting, then, that Doyle was chosen to headline the World Snowmobile Showcase. He will be representing Canada. Other countries to be represented—in the form of live entertainment—include Japan, Finland, Sweden, Norway and the United States. The Trailblazers will release information on the other bands that will be playing during the World Snowmobile Showcase at a later date. Stay tuned!
