The Whitecourt Trailblazers snowmobile club in Whitecourt, Alberta, is having its Annual Snowmobile VIP & Media Ride on January 30, 2015, and you’re invited.
This event is a showcase for the club’s impeccable trail system. It attracts everyone from MLAs to television personalities. Executives from the Alberta Snowmobile Association and members of the Whitecourt Trailblazers will also be there.
This year, the ride—which will take about three hours—begins at the Groat Creek Staging Area south of Whitecourt. Participants will be guided along the Groat Creek Canyon Trail to the Summit Warm-Up Shelter for snacks and a hot dog roast. An optional 15-kilometre ride to Goodwin Lake will be offered to those who want to see more of the trail system.
After the ride, attendees will head over to the Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza for a Wine and Cheese Party.
Whether you are a snowmobiler or not, this is a great opportunity to check out Whitecourt’s award-winning trails and to see what the sport is all about. Plus, everyone at this event will be eager to talk about the World Snowmobile Invasion in February 2015.
Let the club know in advance if you don’t own your own snowmobile, and they will find a ride and the proper gear for you.
