Tucker Hibbert, the reigning and 10-time ISOC National Snocross champion, enters the 2016/2017 season focused on defending his title. The eight-stop, 17-round ISOC National Snocross tour kicks off this weekend in Duluth, Minn. carrying on a 25-year tradition of racing on Spirit Mountain’s ski hill.

This winter marks Hibbert’s 17th professional season and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. The 32-year-old from Pelican Rapids, Minn. recorded one of the most successful seasons of his career last winter winning his 120th pro national race, 10th national title and 14th X Games medal. He’ll take his 202nd and 203rd pro national starts this weekend at the Duluth National.

Pro racing action at Spirit Mountain takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The races will be streamed live on snocross.com/livestream and delay broadcast on CBS Sports Network. For more information on Hibbert and his schedule, visit tucker-hibbert.com.

On the Duluth National celebrating its 25th anniversary: “The race at Duluth has always been a big piece of the snocross season. With it being the first race of the season, it holds a lot of importance. There’s a lot of history with the race and it’s been really cool to see the progression. It’s always had a special meaning and feel. The atmosphere, fans and vibe are always awesome so it’s a fun place to race.”

On being the defending Pro Open Champion: “It feels good. I’m excited about last season and winning the championship.  I have a lot of confidence coming off a good year but know it doesn’t mean anything for this year. It’s a new season and everyone’s starting with a clean slate. I need to put my head down and do the best I can every race. My team has been working really hard to make sure we’re ready to go and now it’s up to me to get the job done again.”
