Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and Sicamous, British Columbia, are locked into the final battle of SledTown supremacy

After 10 weeks of intense online voting, it has come down to this:

Yorkton, Saskatchewan, versus Sicamous, British Columbia. Last year’s co-winner against a rising star in this contest.

Which town will be crowned the 2017 SnoRiders’ SledTown Champion of Western Canada? Only you can decide. Voting starts now and the poll will be open until midnight on January 10, 2017.

Round 5 recap

In Round 5, the racing was the closest it has ever been in this contest.

In the Whitecourt versus Sicamous matchup, a total of 1,940 votes was cast, with Sicamous winning by 110 votes.

In the Yorkton versus Beausejour matchup, there were 956 votes cast with Yorkton winning by a mere four votes.

Congratulations to Whitecourt and Beausejour for putting up such a hard fight and on your newly appointed designation as the top SledTown in Alberta and Manitoba, respectively. 


We started with 64 destinations across Western Canada (16 for each province), and now we’re down to the final two. This is the last stretch so get your buddies voting and remember, you can follow SnoRiders on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date.
