After 12 weeks and over 14,800 votes cast, it's Sicamous, B.C., that reigns supreme

by Kirsten Armleder

It’s a new year and we have a new winner—Sicamous, B.C., is your 2017 SledTown ShowDown Champion of Western Canada.

Congratulations to the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club and Grooming Society and to everyone who voted!

SnoRiders would also like to congratulate the runner-up, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and the Yorkton Sno-Riders for putting up such a hard fight. Yorkton won the provincial round and will therefore keep its title of No. 1 SledTown in Saskatchewan.

We’ll be following up with our champ for a more in-depth article, but for now, we’ll leave you with five reasons to sled Sicamous this winter:

  1. Voted top SledTown in Western Canada in the 3rd Annual SledTown ShowDown contest
  2. Favourite Overall Snowmobiling Area in B.C. in the 18th Annual Rider's Choice Awards
  3. Four separate snowmobiling areas to choose from
  4. Consistent snowfall
  5. A hardworking club that grooms after 75 sleds have been on the trails
