Prince Albert snowmobilers have had their share of challenges. Due to city development, the local club trails have been closed. However, the terrain at Candle Lake and Christopher is close by, and Snow Riders club members like Robert Venn are still just as passionate.

“We are just a riding club now,” said Venn. “(But) we . . . do belong to the SSA (Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association) to keep informed.”

Despite the need to go to neighbouring communities, Prince Albert sledders have not lost interest in their pastime.

“This sport will take you places and give you the opportunity to see things that you would not see in any other mode of transportation,” said Venn, “and get to meet some of the greatest people.”
