Everybody rides!

It really bugs me that snowmobilers are often seen as reckless thrill seekers or worse yet, environmental delinquents.

It may be true that some of us are a little rough around the edges, but to lump us all into one stereotypical category is like saying all Canadians live in igloos. Or wear toques year round. Or we all love Tim Hortons.

When it comes to snowmobiling, everybody rides—from mayors to business owners to schoolteachers to doctors. There are no real stereotypes. Snowmobilers come from all walks of life and most have a healthy respect for the sport, each other and the land.

Our recent SledTown ShowDown contest made us realize how important it is to raise the overall awareness of snowmobiling in Western Canada—to show the general populace that snowmobiling is not a reckless hobby, but rather an important part of the Canadian economy and the lifestyle in this country.

To make our point, we want to hear from you—the real riders of Western Canada. Use this form here to tell us what you ride, where you ride and most importantly, why you ride.
