Wrap it up

by Kirsten Armleder

Personalize your ride and protect it from the elements with a wrap from Sledwraps.com. The company released some cool-looking new designs for the 2012-2013 season, and has launched a new website that offers an easy interactive way to buy wraps, customize your order and purchase accessories.

There are approximately 50 patterns on the website to choose from and each design is available in seven different colours. If none of the available designs strike your fancy and you want a truly one-of-a-kind wrap, you can send your ideas to the designers at Sledwraps.com and they will custom-make one to your specifications. The company makes sled wraps as well as tunnel wraps, tank wraps and tunnel tops. Each wrap is specially designed to fit the contours of a specific snowmobile make and model.

The wraps consist of four layers to offer a high-definition print quality and superior adhesive properties.

“The glue is specially formulated for snowmobiles,” said Bruce Sirjane, who is the owner of and a designer for Sledwraps.com. “It sticks very well to the rough plastics—low-energy plastic—that are found on many snowmobiles, and (it is) designed to hold up to extremely cold conditions.”

The fourth layer contains UV inhibitors to prevent yellowing and a barrier coat to preserve the shelf life of the wrap and its adhesive strength.

The wraps are easily installed as well.

“They come with easy-to-follow install instructions and we also have a little install-tips video on our website,” said Sirjane.
