Torngat Tunnel Bag from Giant Loop

by Kirsten Armleder

Giant Loop, a motorcycle luggage company based in Bend, Oregon, broke into the snowmobile industry last winter with a small but very efficient line of sled storage solutions. We were able to get our hands on one of the company’s products, the Revelstoke Tunnel Bag (see our review).

But another product from Giant Loop we’d like to bring to your attention is the Torngat Tunnel Bag.

Like the Revelstoke bag, the Torngat is 100 per cent waterproof, lightweight and durable, but it’s designed more for long distance trail touring and overnight trips. That being said, some sled-skiers have also found it to be useful for toting their gear to the hill.

At 37 litres, the Torngat Tunnel Bag is sized to carry the essentials needed for an overnight adventure. The interior compartment features a baffle to separate gear and keep it organized, as well as two welded sleeves for storing an avalanche probe or shovel handle. On the exterior is a zippered pocket where small items can be stored.

The Torngat Tunnel Bag is easy to install, and it comes with all the necessary mounting hardware. At first glance, it seems kind of plain, but it’s the no-frills design that makes these products from Giant Loop perform well.
