If you want snowmobile clothing that is 100 per cent waterproof, windproof and breathable, then you’ve got it. The 2013 Icerock collection of riding garments by C.D.I. International Inc., the makers of Choko Design, features the company’s all-new Nortex fabric.
What is Nortex? It is a laminated, multi-layered fabric that is available only in North America, and it is exclusive to C.D.I. International Inc. To ensure riders will stay dry and won’t sweat while they are wearing Nortex fabric, the company put it through high-level hydrostatic water-pressure-resistance and 24-hour vapour-permeability tests. C.D.I. claims the fabric starts to aerate the humidity sooner than other brands, yet it’s completely waterproof and windproof. It’s also been tried and tested by competitors in the 2012 Cain’s Quest—also known as Canada’s Longest Snowmobile Endurance Race.
At the forefront of C.D.I's new Icerock line is the Men’s Apex Shell Jacket. Features of the jacket include reinforced fabrics, welded seams, waterproof zippers, a down inner jacket, removable shoulder pads, a soft-feel adjustable collar, and front, back and armpit zippers for aeration.
Pair it with the Apex Shell Pants and some Icerock gloves and you should be set for the season.
